About me: My husband, Dan, and I have three children and nine grandchildren. We I have lived in numerous states; however, settled in Oklahoma in 1982. I began working at OSU in 1983 and have been here ever since.

Hometown: Emporia, Kan.

High School: Emporia Senior High School

College: BS Physical Education (Emporial State); MS Guidance and Counseling (Emporia State); Doctorate in Higher Education with emphasis in Health (Oklahoma State)

Hobbies: Biking, attending sporting events, gardening, reading, playing cards/board games, playing the piano/guitar and cooking. Of course, my favorite thing is to hang out with our grandkids!

Favorite music: I love all genres of music, with the exception of hard rock.

Favorite movie: "The Sound of Music" — I have probably watched it 30-40 times and never tire of watching that movie.

Favorite book: I read so many books, I couldn’t pick a favorite; however, I love mystery and suspense novels.

Favorite quote: “Do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do!” - Denzel Washington

Something not everyone knows about you: I was a competitive long-distance swimmer, taught dance at a studio while in college, and am a pianist and organist.

Best advice for college students: Take advantage of the opportunities available during your college years and try to learn at least five new things each day.

Favorite OSU memory: I have too many to list only one!
